Missed connections (plus sexy ladies)

Yesterday was just one missed connection after the next. It was humorously uncanny.

The missed-connection-ness all came to a head when I was suppose to FaceTime with Dan in Cambodia at midnight, but I had fallen asleep moments before AND the wifi on my iPhone was turned off. Man!...

But, today is a whole new day. (And tonight is Taco Bell Night!)

That being said...

Yesterday audiosalvage hipped me to the Vanity 6 album.

I've been a huge Prince fan for decades, but I somehow never crossed paths with this one. I love it so much! It's like a lost, classic Prince album. Yay! It is funky as heck, and it has occasional appearances by Prince himself.

The Time are credited as the band on this album, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Prince played most or even all of the instruments.

Yay! I actually rewrote part of the post. It came out all wrong. I just had a lot of very random conversations yesterday, both online and in real life.

I was going to d/l Bruce's link to the album...until I realized I'd already ripped the CD a zillion years ago... Yes, I'm so gay I already owned it... Bought it at a used book/CD/video store ("Wee Book Inn") chain around the time she was on Entertainment Tonight denouncing the evils of her earlier life... ;o)

I heard one of them at one point. It didn't do much for me then. But, I think it was a later-on album, like, several albums after Prince.

I wonder if I would dig those albums now.
