Batman Arkham Asylum
Sep. 7th, 2011 09:01 amI'm on to my next video game.
A new game just came out called Batman Arkham City, and it looks incredible, but I'm pretty burned out on buying $60 games that I wind up not playing.
Batman Arkham Asylum is the prequel to City, and since it's a few years old, it's much cheaper. I picked it up used for Playstation 3 yesterday.

I played a little of it already, and it's great. In the game, the Joker is taken to an asylum, but Batman suspects that he allowed himself to be caught tioo easily. Turns out he was right. The Joker set up a trap where he is running the asylum, letting inmates free. It's up to Batman to stop the Joker. The graphics are very cutting edge and the game play is fun and original. Much like Portal, there's an emphasis on puzzle solving. There's also an emphasis on stealth. So, instead of running in to level after level with guns blazing (Force Unleashed 2), the game forces you to slow down.
Tonight is video game night. Woo hoo!
