Day 20. A song that you listen to when you’re angry
I'm really embarrassed about this and concerned that it will affect what tiny little respect you all may have for me as a music lover. But, I'm taking a cue from [livejournal.com profile] bobaloo and just disclosing it up!

I went throughout a phase where I was totally in to Limp Bizkit… Whew, that was hard to say! Long story short, I saw a documentary about them breaking up and trying to get it together for the Results May Vary album, and I just got sucked in.

They have this one song called Full Nelson, and it's just one of those "I'm a jock, and I'll fight you to impress my girlfriend" bro-rock songs. I recall being a little bit mad about something and singing along to it in my car once.

"You'll get knocked the fuck out
Cause your mouth's writing checks that your ass can't cash
"

I tried to convince my friend Liz, who randomly is also a fan, (It's our weird, dirty secret) to go see them at the Cricket Wireless Amphitheater a while ago. I almost talked her in to it, and then "Um, yeah, no." Good call, Lizzie.

Day 21. A song that you listen to when you’re happy

Shonen Knife is a band from Osaka, Japan. They play ultra-poppy rock songs, usually about food or animals. They're just so pure, happy and fun. The last few times I saw them, I was right there in the middle of the audience singing along and screaming.

I love Shonen Knife so much.

I recommend checking out this album:
