I was up late playing Portal 2.

I know, I know. It's trendy, and you're sick of hearing about it, but there's a reason it's so popular. It's fun!
I have the PS3 version which also comes with a key to play it on the computer. I would love to play co-op mode with
jpinsd, but I have been told we can't mix platforms. Do any of you know otherwise?
So yeah, in addition to everything that's going on in my life now (featuring never sleeping), now this is happening. Whee!

Date: 2011-04-26 06:44 pm (UTC)The key you got with the PS3 version SHOULD be tied to your own Steam account and it only allows you to get the same game you have already paid for on a different platform, but will not allow you to gift it to someone else. And since the two are tied to the same key, only one from that key/account would be allowed online. Again, right now since things are down, you could both play solo because the PS3 can't check. But I don't think there is a way to multiplay with just one copy. The Hubby and I ran into this issue as well.
Xbox and PS3 will likely never be able to play ANYTHING together.
