Several years ago, I visited my friends in Spain and Austria. That trip was so awesome that it changed my life. While I was there, my dear friend Matt warned me that as incredible and eye-opening as the trip was to me, no one back home will want to hear more than a few bullet points about it.
He was totally right.
Carnival Cruise 2010 - No Interwebs for 3 days?!
Mark and I joined my whole family for a 3-day cruise to celebrate my parents' 40th wedding anniversary. While the rest of my family had a questionable time, (They had to babysit 4 toddlers ranging from age 3 to under a year the whole time) Mark and I had a blast!
On the first night, we sat down at the bar in the atrium (see above) for a night cap. A very drunk guy that looked like the guitar player for Poison sat next to Mark.
Nikki Sixx: Hey Big Papa!
Mark: You look like you're having fun...
Nikki Sixx: I sure am! Have you seen all the pussy on this ship?!
Mike: (smirk)
Mark: Ok, time to go!
Went for an early-morning run on the top deck. It was really pretty out. There was a tiny, little track on the top deck. It was adorable, just like me.
Hairy Chest Contest! I totally should have entered. I figured there would be a bunch of mega-men, but they were all wusses.
Speaking of contests...
There was a "King of Pop" trivia contest. My whole family came to watch me compete. It was really informal, but yeah, I DOMINATED. All those years of secretly rocking my MJ tracks finally payed off. Billy Jean wishes she was my lovah.
Mark and I got some quality Gunkle time in with the nephews and niece. Plus my sister got a sassy, new haircut.
On the first full day, Mark and I got off the ship and hung out in Ensenada for a few hours. The cantina we had margaritas at said their margaritas "make you see double and feel single." Mark said I don't need a margarita for that. Ha ha.
