El Zarape

Everyone that lives in my gayborhood knows about a sassy, little Mexican restaurant called El Zarape. They have great $1 fish tacos among other things. I like their molè burrito and chicken chimichanga. It's a few miles from where I live.

A while back, I was overjoyed to hear that a second El Zarape was opening down the street from my house. Turns out this one is very different. It's much more upscale and non-fast-food. I've only been a few times.

Last night, JP and I went. It was not only delicious, but it was relatively cheap. Two dinners and a pitcher of margarita: $40.



Have I mentioned I love where I live. Well, I do. :)

YAY! diner was great. They've got a super tasty veggie-burrito. with enchilada sauce on top, it's dang-near perfect.

And the margaritas weren't bad, either :-)

El Zarape is delish! I haven't been to the new one, but the one on Park Bl is great. Often grab a burrito there before seeing a play at The Diversionary.

Oh, and I hear the food is good, too... ;-)

Okay. I'll try it again. My first and only experience there was dreadful. The food was not good. Maybe they were having a bad night.
