Off to Disneyland in a bit, but first PRESENTS!
Today is also a very special anniversary for me. I call it First Contact.
A year ago, on my birthday, we went to Disneyland. But on our way home we stopped by a local pub called Pecs. I specifically wanted to go there to meet a guy named Brian Hill![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
kingfuraday, from a podcast that I had been listening to called 619 Bearcast.
I met him and was surprised at how nice and friendly he was to me. I wouldn't say we were friends at that point, but in a way, he was my first, you know, IRL bear friend.
Then, weeks later, on his podcast, he mentioned me and described me as someone that could totally be sitting there with them. Like, I would fit in with these guys.
It was a big moment for me. I can hang out with these people? Over the course of the year, I have hung out with all of them and all kinds of other amazing guys. It's been a fun ride and it all started that day. (Thanks Brian!)
I saw him yesterday and told him some of this. It came out really lame. I get nervous.
