Ew, gross, no.

Sunday night, we watched the Rankin & Bass classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. It's a treasure.

Last night, I discovered that there is a 2001 sequel, all done in god-awful cgi. It's called Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the Island of Misfit Toys. I watched about 10 minutes of this abomination, and here's what I gathered.

- Hermey is a full-on dentist now.
- The gang solves a crime, Scooby Doo style. Nothing says "Merry Christmas" like solving crimes!
- Best of all, Rudolph can focus his nose-light in to a laser beam.

I kinda want to sit down and watch the whole thing, for the same reason that I want to sit down and watch The Room and Will Smith's Karate Kid.

I rewatched The Karate Kid (the real one) the other night, and it reminded me that there were good non-cliche 80's movies. I refuse to watch Smith-spawn's version.

I have done everything I can to avoid this one. Even my love for Rudolph and Hermey cannot bring me to watch it.

Yeah, good call. What has been seen cannot be unseen.
