Why Apple, why?

Last night, we went out and saw Harry Potter 7.0. For the record, I found it very entertaining and well directed.

When we got home, the house was freezing cold, so I hopped in to bed with my iPad. I figured I would read for 15 minutes and fall asleep. Turned it on and saw this!

Here's the deal. I installed a beta of iOS 4.2 on it a few weeks ago which is now expired. There was a new beta after that that I should have installed over it, but I was too lazy busy. Apparently, that beta version is no longer available. When I plug it in to my Mac, as instructed, it says "Your version of iOS is expired. You must update." Then when I click Check for Updates, it says "You have the latest version."

Good thing I have nothing going on tonight...

Sucky!

So do you have to wait for the full 4.2 release or can you uninstall the beta?

Heh...

you may have to manually download the new ISPW (firmware) and then from hold I think its shift for both mac and pc and then the file you downloaded.... not sure. I've had all the iphones but the 3Gs and have had some experience...

speakin of which, i miss my jailbreak, I can't get the new one to work :-(

good luck with the ipad
