Thanksgiving 2

I'm not very good at cooking. I try really hard sometimes, and I know how to make a few things, but I don't get much of a thrill out of it. Some people do. Mark is one if those people.

We went to my parents' house for Thankgiving this year, and Mark had turkey-baking envy. So he went out and bought a 22 lb turkey and prepped an entire Thanksgiving meal just for the two of us. Our friend Liz stopped by to help eat some of it.

It was also our first actual meal on our new-ish dining room table.

Sides:

- Mashed Yams, prepped with butter and cilantro
- Homemade applesauce
- Stuffing, made from scratch
- Peas
- Gravy, made from scratch, using the juice from the turkey itself. Best gravy ever.
- Pumpkin Pie

Yay!

I'd be a lot thinner if it wasn't for Mark. :)

It was easily the best gravy I've ever had. Yum!

I'm the same way. Not real good in the kitchen, and I don't really enjoy it that much.
