Unicorns

I was going to do a post today about how lame of an announcement it is that iTunes now has Beatles music. (Side note: I love the Beatles. However, I know how to rip CDs.) And then I almost did a post about Tortoise and how much I love their album called It's All Around You. I also wanted to pimp out my dear friends at the 619 Bearcast for doing a personal appearance at The Center tonight (Side note: Mark and I are so there. You should come.) Lastly, I wanted to talk about how great Bonnie Tyler is.

But instead of all that...

OMG. Want.

I rock out to Bonnie Tyler at least twice a day but it's more of a Jim Steinman thing.

Totally rad. I love Jim Steinman! Just got the Bonnie Tyler record and found out the whole thing is written by him. (I knew Total Eclipse was already.) It's great!

The recent Beatles CD Reissues would have sold a few Million if they had priced them reasonable. 9.99 everyday. not 16.99. Does McCartney and Ono really need more money?

I bought the Rubber Soul reissue a few months ago. Worth every cent. :)

Then you need to buy Revolver, because they are bookends!

And no mono versions either, despite the fact that the mono mixes are (usually) vastly superior to the hastily-done stereo ones.

The mind is a puzzle, eh?

(And a bud of my already funneled me the entire Beatles catalog on .mp3 -- so, I haven't been waiting on iTunes...)

How weird is this? When I read your post, I was listening to Tortoise's song "Dot/Eyes" on It's All Around You.

Small world.

That is extra freakishly random.
Wow! Neato.

That album is really special to me. I bought it in Vienna and it wound up being the soundtrack to the bizarre European trek I was on at the time.

Do you want every color?

Just orange. Well... and red, and black. Ok, and pink.

Cool!

I should get the orange one for Tibor/[livejournal.com profile] tibortiger -- we were talking about the 'no watch' problem on the cruise... :o)

Hey, welcome back!
You weren't allowed to wear watches?

[[chuckles]] No, the difficulty was more based on the fact that neither of us owns one... ;o) Well...Tibor *might*, but he doesn't wear one and hasn't in the years I've known him... :o)

It would be more of a "for fun"/"cruise-wear" thing, so we could keep better track of what time it was so we could get where we wanted to be without having to a) track down a wall-clock or, b) carry my phone everywhere -- which wasn't a *huge* hassle as I *do* like to have quick-access to the camera on it, just clunky to pull out all the time... ;o)
