Day 30. Your favorite song at this time last year
I always thought the Black Eyed Peas were lame. And, you know, when you get right down to it. They are.
However, there is an album that came out last year called The E.N.D. I just could not get enough of it last summer!
It really is a fun, dance-y album. The thing about it is it's very consistent without being boring. I would put it in and listen all the way through, then start it up once it ended. I was that in to it. I really liked what Will I Am did with the vocals on most tracks. Most of the time, they were either pitch-shifted or chopped up or distorted. It made the otherwise boring songs fun.
Mark and I had the pleasure of going to Street Scene last year. It was awesome because no one went, so it was really uncrowded. I think the producers (one of them being Tim Mays, the owner of The Casbah) lost a lot of money on it.
Towards the end of the night, Black Eyed Peas came on. They were kind of boring, but I did enjoy ending my summer hearing my summer jams played live.
