You were actually a topic of conversation this weekend among some locals. It seems like you popped up EVERYWHERE - here, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr - all at once, fully formed. And everyone adores you (me included). I asked a few San Diegans if they'd known you prior to, like, July.

Um, yeah, this year, I've been very intentionally going out of my way to meet people. I guess, in the past few months, it finally stuck.

YAY! I had a great time meeting ya at Saussagefest 2010 at Dave's!

And yeah, i gotta agree with Jeb, you appeared to pretty much just pop onto the scene one day. Within the course of a week, everybody was talking about "Mike D" :-)

Now, Jeb, on the other hand, is somebody i've only talked to in passing on LJ, FLickr, and Twitter, but we've never actually met, either. Each time he's been in San Diego, I haven't been able to meet up with him. Next time 50poundnote is visiting, I need to make sure I'm around that weekend.

Thomas and I are trying to figure out when we can come down for a long weekend. We have an open invitation to stay at Roy's, and there are many folks there we want to see. :)
