Kid-powered! (and a poultry abomination)

I'm kid-powered today. After a little mixup with the bike shop, I finally got my tires up and running again.

It's a 4.2 mile hop, skip and jump to work and it's mostly downhill. The ride home, of course, is mostly UP-hill. Blech. But, hey, burning off calories.

Speaking of calories, Mark and I had a fancy dinner at Park House Eatery last night.

Duck salad

The duck salad there is so good. After trying some, you will want quit your job and just eat it all day long.

::looks again...spends too much time at bike shot::

Somehow I read "duck" salad as "dork" salad.

Good run today, too! I want to run longer later this week.

Yeah, it was a good run today. I'm down with running further. I need all the exercise I can get!

As far as the salad goes, it was pretty dorky just by having me near it. (bad joke)

:)

I finally trimmed it down this afternoon. It was getting a little bit out of control for me.

I've got a mountain bike in the shed; I need to get air in the tires...

This is such a cool place to go bike riding, and yet here I sit!

maybe that will be today's project -- we're sitting here debating what to do (it's 1:30 in the afternoon)

ah the beard debacle; seems the grass is always greener on the other side, in some ways -- I used to think my beard was much like a 12-year old muslim boy's -- then it all turned white, and now I look like a 78-year old chinese guy.

My son Nick has a nice full beard already at 18, but he gets that from his mother.

no, really.
