Valentine's Day? Ha!

I guess I don't have to deal with it this year. Yay!

I've never been a big fan. Valentine's Day was totally invented by Hallmark. There was only one year that I kind of liked it. We happened to be camping in Mexico that week, and I brought Mark a perfect Valentine's basket, complete with a Beanie Baby giraffe and a VHS tape of Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella (The Whitney Houston version).

I was out shopping for new bedding and a new clock radio when I saw this aisle. I smiled.

O damn. Thanks for reminding me

me and the hubster have a nonproliferation agreement. we only gift each other on our birthdays "officially" and gift each other occasionally on "Robert finally remembered to make the bed day" or "Dave came home from work before 8pm night" or some other self manufactured holiday. (wink)

New bedding? I love bedding shopping. :) (ohmygodi'mgay) was it sheets or the whole enchilada (a bed in a bag perhaps?)

I have too many mixed feelings about that day. It's my birthday.

I think Valentine's Day should be celebrated all year.

Our local Target had that isle on January 3rd... lol

But yeah, even when single I celebrated (took myself to dinner or cooked a really nice one, a movie, etc. A Self Date if you will. Some times I even got lucky!). It's never a BIG deal, but it's at least a nod to it.

Like Bobaloo said, best to celebrate that particular "event" as often as possible. The loving ...not the masturbation.... Ok I'll stop talking now.
