Matt and I went up to LA Friday night to see one of only two reunion shows by the 90's rack band That Dog. It was really fun and they were a bundle of fun.

But what I forgot about LA is that it's crawling with celebrities. And by "celebrities", I also mean has-beens, burn-outs and D-list stars, of course.

At the local Albertson's, I was in line, one line over from Gene Simmons from KISS. Wowwww!

Gene Simmons

He was dressed like he had a TV show to be on, but there he was, buying groceries. He looks so weird in person.

At the show, I saw Roddy Bottom, the keyboard player for Faith No More. He's also in a band, called Imperial Teen, that Mark and I used to go see all the time. He's a great guy, and he's definitely on our team. I wanted to go talk to him, but it was crowded and I felt like playing it cool.

I didn't care about seeing the opening act, not know whom they would be. Turns out the opening act was TENACIOUS D!!! The D!!!

I used to be such a big fan of theirs. They were so funny and super tight. Kyle Gass is a great guitar player. What a treat!

After the show, we stopped by The Fault Line. It was pretty empty and uninteresting, so we left within a half-hour. Plus we knew we had to get to sleep soon. The next day, we had plans to go to Knott's Berry Farm.

After a little Del Taco and a Prince-produced Carmen Electra promotional video, we conked out.
